From June 13th through the 21st Learn More   Announcements     Battle Creek Canyon Closure  Due to improvements being made by Pleasant Grove to the city’s diversion in Battle Creek, a two-week trail closure is anticipated in Battle Creek Canyon starting around mid-March. Exact timing is pending. Updates will be provided as exact dates are determined. City Council Meetings February 18th at 6 p.m. Work session starting at 4:30 p.m. Snow Removal To facilitate the clearing of snow from city streets, no person shall park any vehicle on any city street where the pavement runs from curb to curb, and also within five feet of any paved public street surface, where the full improvements are not completed, to ensure there is no obstruction to the city plows that would cause health, safety and welfare concerns. This regulation shall be enforced between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 8:00 A.M. from the period of November 1 through March 15 or any time while snow is actively falling, and for 24 hours after snowfall ceases. Vehicles parked on city streets, as defined above, are subject to immediate towing at the discretion of the public works director or designee. Violations of this section shall constitute an infraction. The standard fine for a violation of this section is $47. Multiple violations may result in the court assessing increased fine amounts. Striped parking spaces within the public right of way, used for commercial, office, civic, or similar type uses, shall be exempt from this restriction. (Ord. 2010-2, 2-2-2010).
